IS GEORGE W. BUSH YOUR HERO?

President Bush distinguishes between good and evil.  He calls a spade a spade, and after 9-11 called evil "evil," without mincing any words.  That's what cowboys do, you know.

Big deal. He might as well have called Strom Thurmond old. Al Gore, moron that he is, would have called it evil, too.

He also told the French to "put their cards on the table" (old West talk).

Wowee! France used to have a problem with terrorism...and then they pulled out of Algeria. America has a problem with terrorism because of our absolute insistence on meddling in the affairs of every last country on earth. When you live by the sword, you die by the sword. You cannot have your military in over 130 countries around the world and expect to have everyone love you.

Furthermore, there are millions of Americans who think GWB hung the moon and who think his wars are the greatest things since sliced bread. However, they have never spent one day in the military. (Cheney, Rice, Frist, Hastert, Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, Falwell, Bennett, Perle and Wolfowitz are but a few of the names that come to mind. A lot of the Cherry Hills folk fall into this category too.) Instead of whining about the French, let these chicken hawks go fight. Pat Tillman dropped what he was doing to join the military.

The pictures of W on the carrier deck are a joke. In May 2003, W declared "Mission Accomplished." Almost two years -- and over 1000 American troop deaths -- later, America is still in Iraq with no prospect of coming home any time soon. I guess it depends on your definition of "Mission Accomplished". If Al Gore had done this, you would be deriding him as the most incompetent moron ever to stink up the Oval Office. However, when W does this he is a "great wartime president."

In the old West, might did not make right.

In the new west it does. What do you call it when you invade a country that has never done anything to your country and kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians?

Cowboys in white hats were always on the side of right, and that was their might.

Let me see: W has expanded socialist Bill Clinton's last budget by $500 billion. Every program that Republicans say they hate is bigger and costlier than ever. We still have the world's most lavish welfare system. W has greatly expanded federal education spending and Medicare. Our borders are like sieves. America, the purported land of the free, has the world's highest incarceration rate. 9 of the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto -- including a progressive income tax, inheritance taxes, government control of education, a highly regulated labor market and a central bank -- are the law of the land. We still abort 1 million babies a year. In Philadelphia, Christians are facing prison terms for preaching the gospel at gay rallies. And W either signs off on these things, or says nothing.

He got his man!

Big flipping deal. In February 2003, Dan Rather sat in the same room as Saddam Hussein. If America re-e-e-e-ally wanted Saddam as bad as we said we did, they could have stuck a few special forces guys outside the studio doors and had them apprehend Saddam at the end of the interview.

Iraq is a country with 1/13 of our population, 1/100 of our economy and 1/200 of our military budget. It took no courage whatsoever to invade them. I know, they invaded Kuwait. However, Kuwait is, in Pat Buchanan's words, a sandbox half the size of Denmark. You will not that Iraq did not invade Saudi Arabia or Israel.

From 1991 to 2002, American and British military planes flew over Iraq 40,000 times. Iraq never shot any of them down. None of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Iraqis. There were no WMDs.

Commander in Chief

I will say this on behalf of that nudenik John Kerry: He spent 4 1/2 months more in harm's way than W ever did. Indeed, he spent 4 1/2 months more in harm's way than millions of these cheerleaders for the Iraq war ever did.

You, along with millions of other Christians, have been horribly, horribly deceieved by Bush and his spin machine. Look elsewhere for heroes.
